Lemon Merigue Pie

INGREDIENTS:  (Products Available Below)

  • 1 8-inch graham cracker crust
  • 1 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 c. lemon juice 
  • 3 eggs*, separated (save whites for meringue)
  • 1/4 + 1/8 t. cream of tartar
  • 1/2 c. sugar

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Wisk together consensed milk, lemon juice, and yolks.
  2. Pour into crust.
  3. In a small bow., beat egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.
  4. Gradually add sugar until hard peaks form when beaters are raised
  5. Spread meringue over filling and seal to edge of crust.
  6. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes, or until meringue is golden brown.
  7. Cool and serve promptly or pie will become runny.
